Hotseat is a public advertising board. Confirmed payments place a website URL on the ranked list. Visitors can click those listings.
When you bid we store the listing URL, any name or message you submit, the amount paid, and payment confirmation records. When you visit we store a browser session so live visitor counts and outbound clicks can be recorded. Server logs may include IP address, user agent, and the pages you request. The X conversion pixel may also receive browser and device signals so ad campaigns on X can be measured.
Card payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. Hotseat stores the payment identifiers needed to confirm a bid, issue a stale-checkout refund, and keep the public board accurate. Hotseat does not store full card numbers.
Hotseat uses a browser session for visitor and click counts. Theme preference may be stored in local storage. An X conversion pixel loads on public pages so Hotseat can measure visits from X ads. These are used to operate and promote the site, not to sell a profile of you.
We use this data to run the board, confirm payments, count clicks, refund stale checkouts, and improve the product. A portion of confirmed bids goes toward bringing more people to Hotseat, including promotion on X.
Hotseat does not sell your personal information. Public pages show the listing URL, rank, amount paid, and recorded clicks.
Board records stay as long as they are needed to operate the public ranking and refunds. You can ask about deletion through the contact path below. Some records must stay if they are part of a confirmed payment on the public board.
